At weltonvillage.co.uk we’re keen to promote local businesses in and around Welton. Through a series of articles we’re calling ‘Village Business‘, we will be interviewing some of them to give you an insight into the ventures that reside on your doorstep. If you’re a business and would like to feature on our site, please email email@example.com.
The first business we’re taking a look at is Lincoln Woolpack.
Lincoln Woolpack is an online wool shop based in Welton. A keen crocheter, Claire Turner setup the business one year ago offering a click and collect service for local customers and also viewings on an appointment basis. We asked Claire what inspired her to start Lincoln Woolpack:
“I have always struggled to find affordable wool with a large range of colours locally. I decided to set up an online wool shop and work from home because it enables me to keep prices low for my customers. Knitting and crochet has become hugely popular again in recent years with more and more young people taking up the hobby.”
What sets Lincoln Woolpack apart from similar businesses in this field?
“I strive to sell good quality wool at low prices so that it’s an affordable hobby for everyone. I am currently a stockist of Stylecraft, Cygnet and King Cole and I am looking to expand the brands that I sell alongside the sale of knitting and crochet accessories in the near future.
My main line is Stylecraft Special, I stock all 82 shades in the double knitting range varying from traditional colours to contemporary colours such as greys and mustards. I also have 36 shades in aran and chunky as well as baby yarns, cotton and fashion yarns too. I love to play around with colour and put yarn packs together to help customers choose colour combinations for blankets. There are also free crochet patterns available on the website.”
How can our readers get in touch or learn more about Lincoln Woolpack?
